Launched in 1991, following the untimely passing of Bob Rodenkirchen, the non-profit foundation was created to honor his life and legacy as a world class track and field athlete.
The Foundation bears his name in recognition of his significant track and field career, which includes induction to the the New York Athletic Club Hall of Fame, many Hudson County, New Jersey state and 5 world records in 100 m, 220 yds, 200 m events and his life-long involvement with the Track and Field community in New Jersey and New York.
In 2026, we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the start of the foundation, since then the annual Winged Foot award has been presented to more than 64 William L. Dickinson High School track and field athletes in Jersey City.
